ACDAL offer a tailor made approach to Au Pair, Childminder & Nanny driving assessments.

The majority of Au Pairs are from a right hand drive country and have never driven on the left side of the road. The rules of the road can vary from country to country and the amount of driving experience is often limited. To combat this we offer host families a range of assessment and training services. The training package you need will be bespoke to your particular needs.

In our experience we’ve found that families tend to take one the below options depending on the level of experience and confidence the Nanny/Au-Pair brings.

Option 1: – Driving Assessment: A two hour driving assessment. This gives the instructor a gauge of your drivers ability and will advise of any areas they need to address or study.

Option 2: – Assessment and UK/London Familiarisation & Orientation – 2 to 8 hours of London roads and Local area familiarisation. Made from a list of locations specific to your needs we can offer bespoke training. This can include: The school run, Clubs, Family homes, and any other locations specific to you. Which leads into a third option.

Option 3: – Safety First UK Driver Training. Made up of 6 to 10 hours of training. There’s an initial assessment where the tutor will provide a detailed set of lessons designed to fully familiarise the foreign licence holder. This will include Roundabouts, Traffic lights, Box Junctions various types of Parking, and more are covered in this detailed package.
